LaBarge Pipe & Steel Company Launches Fusion Bond Epoxy Coating Plant in Houston

Houston, TX - LaBarge Pipe & Steel Company has announced the opening of a new steel pipe coating plant, which will be fully operational in the 2nd Quarter of 2004. LaBarge will apply external Fusion Bond Epoxy (FBE) coatings to steel pipe in sizes from 8-5/8" O.D. to 42" O.D. with maximum lengths of 65 feet.
LaBarge has partnered with L.B. Foster for the design and construction of the plant. Foster brings to the partnership a long history as an applicator of the highest-quality FBE coatings.
At the plant, LaBarge will apply FBE coatings for a wide variety of applications. Because LaBarge will be the only major distributor of steel pipe with a full-service FBE coating plant in the entire Gulf Coast, they find themselves in a truly unique position.
