Joint venture with Canadoil Group creates North America's only single source for Steel Pipe, HY Fittings and FBE Coatings.

Houston, TX - LaBarge Pipe & Steel Company has announced a joint venture with Canadoil Group, effectively positioning LaBarge as the only major distributor of steel line pipe to also offer a full inventory of high yield fittings and fusion bond epoxy coating from one source.

In its first action, LaBarge has taken a significant inventory position in high yield (HY) pipe fittings from Canadoil. LaBarge is housing the inventory at a facility in Houston, the epicenter of the domestic energy industry. LaBarge already has a major steel pipe distribution center and a fusion bond epoxy (FBE) coating plant in the Houston area.

LaBarge is known for its large inventories of X-Grade line pipe in grades X42 to X70, and in sizes from 2-3/8" to 54" O.D. Energy companies use Canadoil's high yield fittings, available from 1/2" to 86" in diameter, in conjunction with X-Grade pipe for a variety of oil and gas pipeline projects.

Canadoil is a manufacturer of high yield fittings that has a reputation of high quality products offered at competitive prices with immediate availability. LaBarge will improve the distribution system with its ability to supply X-Grade line pipe, HY fittings and FBE coatings to customers in the oil and gas industry. As an added benefit, LaBarge will also be able to coat the fittings at its industrial coating plant using a new FBE coating line scheduled for completion in April, 2005.
